HR Certification Accelerator

80% of my students pass.

Fall 2023 – Spring 2026.

A ten-week cohort for the PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and SHRM-SCP — taught by an HR consultant with a law degree, not by someone reading you the textbook.

Ten weeks live, or $599.99 self-paced. Both include twelve months of access.

Why this one

Learn the judgment behind the answer — not just the definition.

Most certification programs teach you what the SHRM BASK says. I teach you how to apply it.

As an executive HR leader and licensed attorney, I’ve spent more than 20 years making the kinds of workplace decisions the exam is built around. Whether it’s FLSA classification, ADA accommodations, discrimination claims, or employee relations challenges, I don’t just explain the rule — I show you how to think through the situation the way an experienced HR leader would.

That’s why my students don’t spend weeks memorizing definitions. They learn to recognize patterns, evaluate risk, and choose the best next step with confidence.

Who this is built for

You keep deferring the exam

You have been eligible for two years and something always comes up. The cohort gives you a date, a group, and someone expecting you on Tuesday.

You failed once and stopped

Most people who do not pass studied hard and studied wrong. We start by finding out which one it was.

You are strong operationally, shaky on law

This is the gap I close fastest. Classification, leave, accommodation, discipline — the questions that decide the exam and the job.

You want the promotion attached to it

Three of my students were promoted within a year of certifying. The credential is the door; the judgment is what gets you through it.

Two ways to prepare

Same curriculum. The difference is whether I am in the room with you.

The method

The R.E.A.D. Framework™

The hardest part of the HR certification exam isn’t remembering the law — it’s knowing how to think through a workplace situation when more than one answer seems reasonable.

The R.E.A.D. Framework™ gives you a practical decision-making process for breaking down complex exam questions, separating important facts from distractions, and evaluating each answer with confidence. Instead of relying on memorization or guesswork, you’ll learn a repeatable approach that helps you think like an experienced HR leader.

Whether you’re answering questions about employee relations, employment law, talent management, or leadership, the R.E.A.D. Framework™ helps you slow down, recognize what the exam is really asking, and identify the best next step.

Because passing the exam isn’t about memorizing more information — it’s about developing the judgment to apply what you already know.

Questions people ask before enrolling

How do I know whether I should take the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam?
The right exam depends on the work you do — not just your job title or years of experience. In general:
  • SHRM-CP is designed for HR professionals whose work is primarily operational and focused on implementing HR programs, policies, and day-to-day employee support.
  • SHRM-SCP is intended for professionals who develop strategy, influence organizational decisions, advise senior leaders, or have responsibility for broader business and people outcomes.
Many experienced HR professionals qualify for both exams. In those cases, the best choice depends on your current role, career goals, and whether you are ready to demonstrate strategic decision-making at the SHRM-SCP level. If you are unsure, schedule a certification consultation. I will help you evaluate your experience, career goals, and eligibility so you can choose the exam that is the best fit — not simply the one you are eligible to take.
Should I earn the SHRM certification or the HRCI certification?
Both SHRM and HRCI are highly respected certifications, but they measure slightly different things.
  • SHRM (SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP) places greater emphasis on behavioral competencies, leadership, strategy, and applying HR knowledge to real workplace situations.
  • HRCI (aPHR, PHR, SPHR) focuses more heavily on technical HR knowledge, employment law, and functional expertise across HR disciplines.
Neither certification is universally better. The right choice depends on your career goals, your industry, employer expectations, and how you want to position yourself professionally. During your certification consultation I will help you compare both paths and recommend the certification that best aligns with your experience and long-term career goals.
Can I pass the exam if I have not worked in every area of HR?
Absolutely. Most HR professionals have strengths in some areas and less experience in others. The exam is designed to measure your ability to apply HR principles — not whether you have personally performed every HR function. The goal of this program is to help you identify your knowledge gaps, strengthen your judgment, and develop a structured approach to answering scenario-based questions with confidence.
Do you cover HRCI as well as SHRM?
Yes. The program covers the SHRM BASK and the HRCI Exam Content Outline, so it supports the SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, and SPHR.
What if I do not pass on the first attempt?
The Confidence Guarantee: if you attend the classes, complete the assignments, and do not pass your exam, you can retake the course at no additional fee — no questions asked. You also keep twelve months of platform access from the day you enroll, so the course, the question bank and the community stay open to you through a retake. Accelerator students keep the monthly Q&A replays too.
How much time does this take each week?
Plan on five to eight hours each week over the ten weeks, including the live session. People who treat it as two scheduled blocks rather than “whenever I can” do markedly better.
Can my employer pay for it?
Frequently, yes — it usually sits inside a professional development or tuition budget. I can supply an invoice, and the Convince Your Boss letter gives you an editable case to forward to your manager. If your organization wants to certify several people, see certify your team.

A short call, no pitch. If the honest answer is that you should wait six months or sit a different exam, that is what you will hear.
